New Assistant to the VP Announced

Karly Gomez recently joined the Office of the Vice President of Student Affairs as the assistant to the vice president. Gomez brings over 15 years of experience in office administration, customer service and budget management. She previously served as the executive assistant to the director of SEL University at Schweitzer Engineering Laboratories, a position she held for two years, and principal assistant for WSU’s Institute of Shock Physics beginning in 2005.
Gomez continues to work as a group fitness instructor in WSU’s University Recreation, something she is very passionate about. Her classes focus on using kettle bells in strengthening core muscles. She enjoys teaching because it allows her to engage daily with students, faculty, staff, and community members. Prior to coming to Pullman, she worked as a paralegal and legal assistant in Ephrata, Wash. She has a Paralegal ATA Degree from Edmonds Community College in Lynwood, Wash.
