Election Event Data Sought from All WSU Campuses for National Recognition (Deadline November 30)

Department: Center for Civic Engagement

Did your department, class, or student group plan an event or program related to the November 8, 2016 national election? Your input is needed to help earn the WSU system national recognition for democratic engagement. As a system-wide challenge, events and programs from all WSU campuses are important.

The WSU system is registered for both the national NASPA Voter Friendly Campus designation and the Campus Vote Project’s All In Challenge. Both of these designations will recognize universities for their democratic engagement efforts during this fall’s election cycle. To be recognized, WSU must submit a campus report in January 2017 detailing efforts on each WSU campus to engage students and increase voter turnout.

If your organization planned an event or program related to the November election, please send your event details to Erin McIlraith, WSU Center for Civic Engagement (CCE) Marketing and Communication Coordinator, at by Wednesday, November 30. Please include the event title, date, time, location, attendance, number of voters registered (if applicable), and any other data you collected. Anyone who submits event details will be provided the final campus report as well as WSU voter data for this election cycle once this information is available.
